Stephanie Marshall
Assistant Chaplain for Jewish Life
Stephanie Marshall joined the Wake Forest Chaplain’s Office at the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year and is overjoyed to be here. Stephanie has been working in Jewish Education and Engagement for over 30 years. She has worked with people of all ages and is excited to be working with college students and on a college campus. Stephanie is eager to support the Jewish Community on campus as well as offer opportunities to learn for Jews and not Jews alike.
In addition to her strong Jewish programming experience, Stephanie has always been involved in interfaith dialogues and learning. She has taught many classes on world religions and comparative religion. She loves learning about other faiths and finding the many commonalities among us. Stephanie firmly believes that we are more alike than different. She also believes in the dignity and worth of each individual. Stephanie is passionate about social justice and works diligently towards this.
Stephanie is looking forward to providing spiritual care for students of all religions and backgrounds. Stephanie is an excellent listener and enjoys offering guidance and support as needed. Over the last couple of years Stephanie has earned certificates in Youth, Teen and Young adult Mental Health First Aid, including a master class in Mental Health First Aid.
When not working, Stephanie enjoys cooking and trying new recipes, meeting new people, hanging out with friends, and exploring neighborhoods and attending arts and cultural festivals. She currently shares her house with two very vocal cats, Simcha, or Simi for short (Hebrew for Joy) and Neshama (Hebrew for Soul).
