Care & Counseling

The University Chaplains and Campus Ministers are available for pastoral care and counseling on a variety of issues. If ongoing counseling is deemed appropriate, referrals to clinically trained therapists in the University Counseling Center may be made.

Chaplains and Campus Ministers also offer spiritual direction or guidance to members of the Wake Forest community seeking to discern God’s call in the midst of everyday life and assistance to persons wishing to grow closer to God through disciplines such as prayer, spiritual reading, and meditation.

Chaplains and Campus Ministers are available at critical times to facilitate rites of passage — weddings, funerals, and memorial services.

The Office of the Chaplain & First Responder Chaplaincy Collaboration

In our commitment to improving the health and wellbeing of our community, the Office of the Chaplain has agreed to provide trauma-sensitive spiritual care through a collaboration with the AHWFB First Responder Chaplaincy Program.

The First Responder Chaplains, while anchored in the hospital system, are heavily embedded in many partner organizations are skilled at providing trauma-sensitive spiritual care to individuals and communities who have been impacted by any emergency, crisis, trauma, or disaster. The Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center (WFBMC) has created a team of first-responder chaplains to provide trauma-sensitive spiritual care to individuals and communities who have been impacted by any emergency, crisis, trauma, or disaster.

Chaplain Glenn Davis leads a team of three full-time staff chaplains that includes Rev. Dana Patrick, Rev. Aaron Eaton, and Rev. Jeff Vogler.
