MindfulWake Meditation Schedule

MindfulWake

Mindfulness at the Museum:

Can mindfulness provide a new perspective on art?

Friday, March 29, 2019

4:00-5:00 pm

Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art (SECCA)

Mindfulness is a practice that isn’t usually associated with museums,
but maybe should be.

You can practice mindfulness while viewing any art, at any museum,
not just at SECCA,
because art and mindfulness have a lot in common.

A brief session suitable for new and experienced meditators,
Mindfulness at the Museum will offer the opportunity to discover
the renewed energy, focus and creativity
that arises within each of us
– artist and art lover –
when we are better able to re-connect with ourselves.

Registration is not required.

Mindfulness at the Museum is a free program.

Admission to the Museum is free.

Please arrive 10 minutes early to set yourself up.

MindfulWake will provided a limited selection of cushions, benches, and chairs for your use;

please feel free to bring your own cushion and a sweater or shawl to ensure you’re comfortable.
